The Syracuse Silverbacks, the only youth rugby team in Central New York, will play its first match on Thursday against SUNY Binghamton. The Silverbacks play in the New York State Rugby Union as an Under-19 boys team, and takes players from any local high school. NCC News Reporter Amy Johnson went to the Silverbacks' last scrimmage before the regular season starts to see what is drawing local athletes away from the more typical high school sports.
