And the Winner Is??

Syracuse, N.Y. - $212 million dollars is up for grabs with the Mega Millions jackpot and the gloomy economy is making some people think twice while others are still hoping to get lucky.

Of the people we talked to most did not even know the $212 million jackpot existed but they immediately went to go by a ticket. Some said the lottery was a waste of money and one woman even said people should be spending their money on their families rather than wasting it.
"I think people that like to play the lottery and gamble will play it and ones that don't won't and I don't know if the economy is going to have an effect on it," Syracuse resident Doug Migliccio said.
A manager of a local gas station on Erie Boulevard said she feels people are really excited about the big jackpot and that the economy is not really effecting ticket sales.
Ticket sales are down in all 12 jurisdictions that sell Mega Millions tickets.
